Island Vacation Rentals

Chong and Judi have recently redecorated their house on Great Cranberry Island, The Red House, and it is available for rent during the summer.  In addition, there is a wonderful appartment above the barn in the rear of the property that is for rent.

The Red House has two sections connected by a utility room with a washer and dryer.  Each of these three areas is rented separately.  Rental includes use of a van on the island.

Situated amidst fields of apple trees and cranberry patches, The Red House presides at the head of a large saltwater inlet and commands spectacular ocean views.

Only a short distance from Bar Harbor, Great Cranberry Island is accessible by a passenger ferry that leaves on a regular and daily schedule from Northeast Harbor.

The Front section

The front section (closest to the street) has four bedrooms -- two upstairs with half bath, and two downstairs with full bath -- plus a living room with fireplace, full kitchen, and large dining room.

This area was built ca. 1769-1860.

The Barn

The barn has an apartment on the second floor, with one bedroom, full bath (shower), full kitchen, dining area, living room with sofa-bed, and an observation loft.

The apartment was completed in 1999.
